UPDATE: I've a couple new screenshots.  The battle engine is done!  It will need some major testing and if anyone is interested in being a tester just keep on reading, I get to that.  I have also finished the cut scene engine and am now working on the world and town map engine.  I have decided that I am simply not going to be able to produce the graphics that I want, it just isn't possible, I don't have that kind of time anymore.  So, I would love some help with character and monster graphics develpment.  Also, sound and music are a long-term goal that I don't know how I am going to do.

If you would like to be involved, I could use beta testers, artists, and possibly musicians (this is probably still a ways off).  Email me at lgshort@gmail.com with "TRAGIC KINGDOM" in the subject line if you can help.

Although Aeva has yet to be born as of this post I saw no reason not to go ahead a launch her website.  It uses the XO CMS that I developed.  XO has been getting used a lot lately.  Anyways, Aeva Grace Short, this is your website.

I built a website for my son when he was born last year.  I continued to add functionality to the site until it had been expanded as much as possible without undergoing a major re-writing of the code.  At the same time it was about time to redesign his website and update it from an infant to a toddler.

Here is the end result.

Now I would like to finish this one at some point.  The idea here was to build a generic story telling engine, sort of like RPGmaker but without any battles, just an interactive story.  Unfortunatly I still have a long way to go with this.  Currently you can create and edit html objects in realtime.  I have actually used this to build and style forms.

With any luck I will finish this one in the future, I would love to be able to build some simple games that my son can play.

This project is very incomplete, and will continue to be that way.  Its a proof of concept for a tile-based map generator.  The original idea was that tiles of different terrains would blend where they meet, but I lost interest or something important came up before it reached fruition.

Balancing the check book is something I was never able to do.  So, I build a web application that would do it for me.  It keeps up with what money is spen, what it is spent on, when and all the other useful information.  Monthly reports are generated so that spending can be tracked over time.

I really think that this app has helped my wife and I save thousands of dollars so far.  It's amazing how much money you can save when you can acually see where it is going.  Now I know that most banks now offer online bank, so does ours, but this app works the way I think it should.  Also, this app can manage multiple accounts so we are able to manage checking and savings seperately even though the funds actually exist in the same bank account.  A major help when trying to prevent overdraft fees.

When my son was born I slapped together a quick website so that we could share photos with friends and family who did not live in the area.  Over time his website evolved and became more than just a list of photos.

Now, it is a complete photo gallery and blog management platform with features like multi-user logins, email newsletters, paypal donations, photo upload and amanagement.  I could go on.
